Our Journey

Estacada Rock Products began in the early 1950s when Al Collins launched Al’s Ready Mix with just one ready-mix truck and one dump truck. A major breakthrough came in 1958 with the North Fork Dam project, which led to rapid growth and the purchase of the company’s first rock crusher in 1962. With this expansion came a new name—Estacada Rock Products, Inc.—and a growing reputation for quality and service. In 1966, Mt. Hood Redi Mix was added, expanding operations across the region.

By 1999, the ready-mix division was sold, allowing ERP to focus exclusively on mining, crushing, and washing river rock and gravel. Today, we remain a family-owned business rooted in the Estacada community, proudly supplying materials from our quarry for everything from large infrastructure projects to local landscaping needs. Generations later, our commitment to quality, service, and the land we work remains stronger than ever.

Key Milestones

1950s: Al’s Ready Mix is founded with one ready-mix truck and one dump truck.
1958: Landmark contract for the North Fork Dam boosts growth.
1962: Rock crusher purchased; company renamed Estacada Rock Products, Inc.
1966: Mt. Hood Redi Mix is added, expanding the fleet to eight trucks.
1999: Ready-mix division sold to Concrete Services/Cal Portland; ERP refocuses solely on mining, crushing, and washing river rock.
Today: ERP operates three specialized plants—Crusher, Wet Plant, and Screen Plant—supplying a full range of materials from river sand to decorative boulders.
